By train

Reduced price ‘Advanced tickets’ can be purchased from approx 12 weeks prior to departure. Prices can vary greatly and the cheaper tickets sometimes only become available approx 6 weeks prior to travel.
To Drymen
Glasgow has two mainline stations: Central and Queen Street (a shuttle bus service operates between the two stations), they are readily accessible from most UK mainline stations. During the day trains depart regularly from Glasgow Queen Street to Balloch, from where you can travel by bus to Drymen.
Approximate journey times – From Glasgow 90 minutes. From London 6.5 hours.
From Fort William
The train station in Fort William is a short walk from your accommodation.
Train services are limited on Sundays. On weekdays a few trains a day depart Fort William for Glasgow Queen Street (first train 07:42).
Approximate journey times – To Glasgow Queen Street 4 hours. To London 9.5 hours (overnight service 12 hours)

The central bus station in Glasgow is Buchanan Street.
To Drymen
The bus stop in Drymen is a short walk from your accommodation.
Approximate journey times from Glasgow 2 hours. Travel by bus from Glasgow Buchanan Street to Balfron Village and change services to Drymen.
From Fort William
The bus stop in Fort William is a short walk from your accommodation.
Scottish Citylink operates daily bus services from Fort William to Glasgow. Booking in advance is recommended Tel - 0871 2002233.

By Car
Free parking is available at the hotel in Drymen for the duration of your holiday. Please note this is not a secure car park and cars are parked at owners risk.
Return travel (payable locally) either by:
a. taxi or minibus, the cost of which can be shared between several people if there are a number of walkers who require this service.
b. Scottish Citylink operates bus services from Fort William to Balloch (booking in advance is recommended Tel - 0871 2002233). Then local bus to Drymen.

By Air
Glasgow International is the nearest airport to Glasgow city centre. A frequent bus service operates between the airport and Glasgow train and bus stations.
Approximate journey times to Glasgow city centre 30 minutes.

A regular bus service operates between the airport and Glasgow Buchanan Street approximate journey time 50 minutes.
